It started off a little rocky at first with me contending with engorgement (think plenty of frozen cabbage leaves) and enduring the pain while the little one chomped away. But after the first few weeks, breastfeeding was a much more comfortable experience and we realised that we were spared in a way as our boy only woke up to feed every 3 hours unlike some of our friends who had to feed their babies literally round the clock. We feel for all of you!
Here are some photos of Ethan in his first 4 weeks - I would like all of you to take a good look at these photos and note the size of his cheeks, arms and legs, you will be able to appreciate the changes in my upcoming posts...hehe.
Now here are some insights into Ethan's Character that we discovered in his first month:
1. He will only accept compliments and anyone who dares to insult him in any way will incur his wrath & will need to apologise profusely or be scowled at.
2. He needs to be told in advance of important events (eg: his 1 month birthday) where he will charm everyone and deceive them of his true demanding and sometimes abusive demeanor. (Sorry Ethan but mummy has to tell the truth okie?)
3. He always wants his way and will exhibit the most heart-wrenching pout ever seen before erupting into a crying frenzy. This usually happens when he is hungry, when he needs to pee or when he wants to be carried.
4. He loves the ladies and smiles profusely whenever pretty ladies are around. As for men, he only likes his Daddy, Grand-Dad and Uncle Derek.
Here are some photos from Ethan's 1 month celebration at my mum-in-law's place.
Thank you Uncle & Aunties for all your gifts and warm wishes!
