This has been another month of new experiences and milestones with me adding singing and imaginative games to my repertoire of achievements!
Motor SkillsI'm able to climb up the stairs and slide down slides all by myself without any help from mummy and without clinging for dear life to the side of the slide. I especially like it when I have mummy waiting for me at the bottom of the slide. Such are the simple pleasures in life!
LanguageI'm becoming more and more forthcoming with instructions for those around me. Saying things like "Mummy, wake up" or "Daddy two hands drive" when daddy just puts 1 hand on the steering wheel.
I'm also able to have a short conversation with you. It gives mummy & daddy a thrill to hear me reasoning my preference for doing things my way.
Oh, and my first 5 syllable word is "Hippopotamus". =)
CognitiveCounting - I've mastered counting from 一到十 in Mandarin. Now, I'm learning to count from 11 to 20 in English. Its still not perfect so Mummy is working with me on that.
Colours - I've increased my accuracy in naming colours and am confidently able to name green, purple, orange, yellow, pink and red.
Reading books - I've started reading books all by myself and can say the relevant story lines at the correct page.
Alphabet - I can sing most letters of the Alphabet in order from A to Z. (except for the l,m,n,o bit.)
Singing songs - I can sing "Twinkle twinkle little stars" all by myself! And I've started to sing snippets of my favourite song like "Skinnamarinky dinky dink", "Baa Baa Black sheep" and "This old man".
Imaginative play - One day after dinner, I decided to have a go at playing catching and throwing a ball with mummy. But not just any ball, a mysterious figment of my imagination! I wonder why mummy looked so shocked when I started cradling the imaginary ball in my palms and when I shouted "Mummy, catch ball!" and threw it at her, she took awhile before she caught on. Sheesh...these grown ups are so slow to catch on these days. hehe.
I also like to cook & stir using my utensils and I love feeding mummy, daddy and all my stuff animals imaginary food...Mummy thinks I can't wait to grow up. Is this a sign that I'm ready for another sibling to take care of? Hmmm...
EmotionalI have started to apologise when I've done something wrong and will say "Sorry Mummy" or "Sorry Daddy" when I know that I've been a naughty boy.

If I know Mummy is sad, I've made this request: "Daddy, kiss mummy" to cheer mummy up. I like giving Mummy & Daddy hugs and kisses too without prompting!
Social I'm conscious of those around me and let all the other kids play and clear off the area before I go and play. Mummy is wondering why I'm so anti-confrontational. Maybe I don't like to get into fights...not that she's complaining of course.
